WEEKLY REFLECTION

(26/10/2022-28/10/2022) First Week
As a part of BEd curriculum, our 40 day teaching practice programme started on 26th October 2022 and we, a team of 6 were allotted GHSS Palayamkunnu school. Me, Sruthy , Reshmi,Rakhi, Harichandana and Ganga were there with me. We went to the school on 20th October to collect portions and time table. School science exhibition was going on there and we were assigned different duties. I assisted my senior teacher in conducting working model, still model competition. It was a good experience. 



26/10/2022, Wednesday
It was our first day in school. We reported and hand over the letter and register to the principal. She alloted a room for us. School sports meet was going on there and we joined with them as co-ordinators by 9:30 am. The score sheets of various items were prepared. 
At 12:20 pm we joined to the midday meal program. Then continued to co-ordinate the sports meet at ground and it ends at 3:00pm. We left at 3:40 pm after National Anthem. 

27/10/2022 , Thursday
I reached the school at 8:45am. All of us had classes today. My first class was at 9E on the third period and my physics teacher Susha introduced me before the students. I managed the class and established a good relationship with them. Then I had a class at 8C on the fourth period. I introduced myself and ask them to do the same. It was interesting and I have the idea about their interests, favorite subject and so on. Then participated in the midday meal. Sports meet was conducted. the fifth and sixth period after lunch break, a quiz competition was conducted by library council according to Akhila Kerala Vayanolsavam 2022. I and Harichandana co-ordinated it along with Omanakuttan sir and other teachers. It came to an end at 2:45pm with great student participation. We left at 3:45 pm. 

28/10/2022, Friday
I reached at 8:45 am and we signed at 9:15.Then l went to my subject teacher to sign the record. Some of the teachers were on leave and so extra classes were assigned for us. Some of us went to conduct the school election from 10-11Am . I had class at 9E on the third hour. I completed my first lesson plan on Gravitation and conducted an experiment using spring balance. Then I had an extra hour at 8G on the next period. I managed the class. After serving the food sports meet was conducted. We left the school by 3:45 Pm. 
29/10/2022, Saturday
Today I reached the school at 8:40am. As it was Saturday, we had to take the classes according to the timetable of Monday. I had to take a class at 8C on the second period. Today I started the chapter Solutions. As per the previous introductory class I came to know that they are interested in experiments. So I bring the materials for experiment to teach them Solutions. They are very enthusiastic. I had an extra hour at 8F on the third period and managed the class. Then served the food.We had to reach our college in order to sign our records. So we left the school by noon with permission.

6/02/2023, Monday             Today l reached the school at 9 am and reported. I had classes at 8C for the 2nd period and l conducted diagnostic test there on the topic 'Limits of audibility' on the chapter Sound. There were 28 students present in the class and all are attended the test. Then during the 3rd period l went to 8D and taught them capacitor portion of static electricity. After that l had to take classes at 9F on the 3rd period and taught them wave motion.        At 12:20 pm we went to mess hall for the mid day meal and served the food. Then we had food and signed the register. After that l went to 8C for the 5th and 6th period and completed the chapter static electricity. 4th SEMESTER SCHOOL INDUCTION 14/06/2023-16/06/2023

14/06/2023, Wednesday         It was the first day of our school induction programme in 4th sem at GHSS Palayamkunnu. Today we 15 student teachers from SNTC Nedunganda started the journey. I reached the school at 9:00 am. We signed the register. They allotted us a room to stay which is the previous library near the school office. We arranged bench and desks there. There was already student teachers from METCA along with us. They are already familiar with some of us in the previous internship.            Today there was an assembly conducted by XA in the school auditorium. We have also joined with them in the assembly. At 9:30 am assembly started with the prayer. It was the first assembly in the new academic year. 10/7/2023- 14/7/2023

10/ 7/2023 ,Monday Today I reached the school at 9 am and reported. As per the time table l had no classes today. I had substitution class at 6B on the  2 nd hr. I managed the class. It was fun to spend time with them. They were curious to participate in group activities. We played a game based on English vocabulary teamwise. As the game progresses they were very active and sudden responses were came from them. The scores of the team motivates them to find more words from their memory. It was fun and informative. They can recollect and insert new words into the memory.  Class experiences I had to take class at 9C on the 3rd and 4th hr. I taught them the chapter "Forces in fluids" on the topic "viscosity".My class was observed by my physics teacher Susha in the school. I used the technique of Think-Pair- Share to teach them.
