3/07/2023, Monday


Today I reached the school at 9:00 am and reported. After signing the register we went to our respective classes.It was a rainy day. At 10 am Unni sir from our college SNTC Nedunganda reached the school for observation. Then we got substitution classes for 6th, 7th and 8th on various divisions. I and Akhila went to the lab for collecting some materials for  the class.

At 12:20 pm we served the meal. We had our food and signed the register. I had substitution classes at 8D on the 5th period. I managed the class. They had to complete their notes. I asked them not to make noises in the class. But they are unable to do that. So l need to raise my voice in the class. As it was their biology period they had to draw the image of cell in the notebook and l checked it. Then some of the boys  in the last bench were making nuisance and so l asked their notes. They told me that they cannot draw the picture as there are so many notes to be completed before that. So l bought a completed book and ask them to complete it. Susha tr asked me to collect the names of students who were interested to join in the science club. At first l went to 9th std and 10th std and then 8th.All the students who were interested in the club from all divisions are collected. As there are so many students from 9C and 8D.Then l went to help the cutting of uniforms in the HS building. 

At 3:30 pm National Anthem was sang and school dispersed. We left the school at 3:40 pm.



4/07/2023, Tuesday


Today I reached the school at 9:00 am and reported. After signing the register we went to our respective classes.

Class experiences

I had classes at 8F on the 1st   period. I taught them on the chapter Motion. Before that l took their attendance as their class teacher was absent today. At first they are not ready to learn due to rain. But after starting the lesson they came to the path. They responded well.Many students were absent in the previous class and so I repeated the classes . They generated more examples . Also l gave them notes and follow up activities. 

I got substitution classes at 8C on the 2nd period. There were a few students in the class. I managed them. Then surprisingly Rani tr from our college reached the school for observation. I had already taken in the 1st hr and had no other classes today. Then we quickly adjust the periods and got periods from other teachers. 
I got 6th period at 8F.

At 12:20 pm we served the meal. We had our food and signed the register. After the mess duty we had our lunch along with our Rani tr. Then signed the register and went to the staffroom and got sign from Smitha tr. 

Class experiences

I had classes at 8F on the 6th hr  on the third floor. Rani tr observed the class. I took the concept of "distance and displacement"  in the chapter Motion. I used Advance organizer model. At first l checked their previous knowledge by asking some questions.
From their responses l was able to continue the lesson with confidence. Chart is read by them. Follow up activities are given and l got satisfying answers in review session. 

After my class l and Sruthy went to library with 9F students. We took charge of them. Kala tr collected the review of books they have read from the library. It was conducted in every classes. There are proper arrangements for reading. They read the books of their taste. Then I checked the notebooks of 8F students. The given notes and follow up activities are checked and gave to them. 

At 3:30 pm National Anthem was sang and school dispersed. We left the school at 3:40 pm.




5/07/2023, Wednesday


Today I reached the school at 9:00 am and reported. After signing the register we went to our respective classes.

My subject teachers Susha tr, Smitha tr, Nisha tr, Reena tr all are busy in participating into the District wise RAISET (Robotic Artificial Intelligence and Sensor Exhibition in Tinkering Lab) programme. It was held at govt HSS Neyyattinkara school at 9:30 am. The programme was inaugurated by Neyyattinkara MLA Sri K Ansalan. The chairman Sri P K Rajmohanan also participated in it. It was a great opportunity for the students to explore their creative ideas and to find out the little scientists among them.

Class experiences

Today as per time table l only had 5th period at 9C.But l got period at 9C on the 2nd hr. I taught them adhesive forces from the chapter "Forces in fluids" using Concept Attainment Model. It was the first time l implemented in the class. They have attained the concept and it gave me confidence to implement CAM in the class. They are successfully classified the given examples by using the concept. Then l went to science lab and took the required materials including beaker, spring balance, potassium permanganate , kerosene, glassrod for conducting experiments. 

At 12:20 pm we served the meal. We had our food and signed the register. 
In the LP section we witnessed the little kids were dressed up as flowers with colourful petals, wings etc as it was their school youth festival. I took pics and had chat with them. It was a visual experience. It was fun to spend time with them. The youth festival in pre primary level was conducted from 11 am and it was inaugurated by Sri Geethanazeer at school level. There is also a video showing their talents by bringing them in different characters of famous writers. It was really appreciable. 

I took the 5th period at 9C on the topic "Capillary action and Surface tension" using Advance organizer model. My class was observed by Aiswarya and Geethu. I got 9C on the next period and l cleared their doubts. 
I collected data for my project from Kala tr in the library. At 8th hr l stayed at 9C and managed the class. At 3:15 pm the first trip students and SPC cadets left the class. 

At 3:30 pm National Anthem was sang and school dispersed. We left the school at 3:40 pm.Then the materials collected from the lab are kept into the office.




6/07/2023, Thursday

Today I reached the school at 9:00 am and reported. After signing the register we went to our respective classes.

Class experiences

I had classes at 8F on 3rd hr and l taught them about distance and displacement of the chapter Motion. I asked them questions. I cleared their doubts and gave problems to them. They solved it properly. 

At 12:20 pm we served the meal. We had our food and signed the register. Two students one is vomiting and the other is having a tooth pain came. I took them to the office and gave first aid. After clearing the situation l went to 6A on the 5th hr. There l experienced so many fun facts. They sang songs, tells stories, some were busy in drawing, painting,making crafts etc. We became energized by spending a little time with them. I really felt it. A boy named Arjun makes paper glasses, hats with his own creativity. He was excited to show me that. It becomes a competition to perform in the class. I handled the situation with effort. 
It was a touchy moment as they didn't allow me to go. 
Then l and Sruthy went to tinkering lab. Adequate tables and chairs are there we arranged them. We saw equipments, telescope and certain models prepared by the students there. Susha tr told me that on the RAISET programme held on yesterday students from 10 th std  performed well and experts appreciated them. It was a proud moment. The lab provides great opportunity for the students to nurture their innovative minds and inspire new little scientists. 

At 3:30 pm National Anthem was sang and school dispersed. We left the school at 3:40 pm.




7/07/2023, Friday


Today I reached the school at 9:00 am and reported. After signing the register we went to our respective classes.
I and Akhila went to the lab with permission to take required materials for the experiment. On the 3rd hr l went to the IT lab with 9F students. I and Sruthy took the charge. We checked them whether they are properly working on the system. Today Reetha tr of English department from our college arrived there for observation. She left the school by noon. 

At 12:20 pm we served the meal. We had our food and signed the register. 
We witnessed SPC students collecting necessary things of daily life from SPC room. There is a visit to the old age home, police station, schools, child care. I can't count the no: of items. It was a great opportunity for us to be a part of it. We also helped them to pack the items. The items includes basic needs such as paste, brush, soaps make up items, study materials, clothes, food items etc... It was a heartful and appreciable effort done by them. Teachers are giving much support for these kinds of activities.

Then l went to 9C and taught them about fluids. I got satisfying responses. The irritating students gave me impositions of previous day and they attented and responded well. As a teacher l felt proud of them.

We conducted model exams at 10 F from 2:30 pm to  3:20 pm. The subject of test was Malayalam. Answer sheets were collected at the correct time. 

At 3:30 pm National Anthem was sang and school dispersed. We left the school at 3:40 pm.

6/02/2023, Monday             Today l reached the school at 9 am and reported. I had classes at 8C for the 2nd period and l conducted diagnostic test there on the topic 'Limits of audibility' on the chapter Sound. There were 28 students present in the class and all are attended the test. Then during the 3rd period l went to 8D and taught them capacitor portion of static electricity. After that l had to take classes at 9F on the 3rd period and taught them wave motion.        At 12:20 pm we went to mess hall for the mid day meal and served the food. Then we had food and signed the register. After that l went to 8C for the 5th and 6th period and completed the chapter static electricity. 4th SEMESTER SCHOOL INDUCTION 14/06/2023-16/06/2023

14/06/2023, Wednesday         It was the first day of our school induction programme in 4th sem at GHSS Palayamkunnu. Today we 15 student teachers from SNTC Nedunganda started the journey. I reached the school at 9:00 am. We signed the register. They allotted us a room to stay which is the previous library near the school office. We arranged bench and desks there. There was already student teachers from METCA along with us. They are already familiar with some of us in the previous internship.            Today there was an assembly conducted by XA in the school auditorium. We have also joined with them in the assembly. At 9:30 am assembly started with the prayer. It was the first assembly in the new academic year. 10/7/2023- 14/7/2023

10/ 7/2023 ,Monday Today I reached the school at 9 am and reported. As per the time table l had no classes today. I had substitution class at 6B on the  2 nd hr. I managed the class. It was fun to spend time with them. They were curious to participate in group activities. We played a game based on English vocabulary teamwise. As the game progresses they were very active and sudden responses were came from them. The scores of the team motivates them to find more words from their memory. It was fun and informative. They can recollect and insert new words into the memory.  Class experiences I had to take class at 9C on the 3rd and 4th hr. I taught them the chapter "Forces in fluids" on the topic "viscosity".My class was observed by my physics teacher Susha in the school. I used the technique of Think-Pair- Share to teach them.
